Thorns community collage
Compass FMB Ltd attended a senior management team meeting to obtain a clearer understanding of the schools objectives in both their dining area and lecture theatre.
We brought to the school the relevant experts which included, flooring, furniture, AV and interior refurbishment companies to enable the senior management team make informed decisions as to what was achievable.
The management then chose the furniture/flooring styles and the colour schemes for the dining area and lecture theatre.
For the lecture theatre the school needed the input of an AV specialist company, as they required a large ceiling mounted projector, motorised drop down screen , sound system and a lectern to enable the school to use a laptop for presentations, speeches etc.
Compass FMB Ltd produced the final specification costs (with leasing options) for the school.
Thorns Community College agreed to proceed and the full refurbishment work was project managed by Compass FMB Ltd in the school summer break.
Belle Vue Primary School
Compass FMB Ltd was introduced to Belle Vue Primary school by of one of the school governors to see if we could help in any way with a project they had been trying to get off the ground for two years and was having little success with.
Belle Vue Primary wished to link two nursery buildings via a covered walk way and enhance the outside by landscaping and fencing. The school also required the two buildings to be internally refurbished to include flooring, decoration, new kitchen and I.T. areas, and furniture.
Compass FMB Ltd arranged for an architect and a landscaping company to meet on site four days later from the initial meeting. We then produced drawings to confirm that our understanding of what the school required was correct.
Compass FMB Ltd attended a schools governors meeting with representatives from the LA, to discuss our findings. At this meeting the school agreed to proceed further.
Further meetings followed with the L.A. and the architects, final specification and cost were produced for the school.
The school sanctioned the works to be completed in the schools summer break and for Compass FMB Ltd to project manage the works.
The head teacher has informed Compass FMB Ltd that if it was not for their involvement this project would never have been achieved.
From the initial contact from the school to full completion took approx 7 months.
Rodbaston Community College
Compass FMB Ltd was asked to supply fibre backbone cabling throughout the college in 2007.
The management team were impressed with the range of facilities on offer to them and in June 2008 we were then asked to recommend a furniture scheme for their newly built conference rooms and also their new recreation room. Compass supplied the college with several design/layout options.
The management team decided on a combination of soft bench seating as well as individual tables and chairs.
An order was then placed and despite the tight timescales available the furniture was delivered and installed on schedule. Mr Brent Craig, who instigated our involvement, fed back that the management team was overjoyed with the service given and the superior quality of the products supplied.
They thanked us for making it all come together in time for their grand opening.
